Her birthday is on March 29th, 1985 in Roswell New Mexico. Gerina Michel Mendoza is her birth name. Gerina Stevenson is the daughter of Mexican parentage Rita Stevenson and Alan Stevenson. Stevenson is of Mexican roots, yet is American as a national. Since her early years her drive to become active in sports was strong. Gerina began playing golf after she reached the age of 15. Gerina graduated from Goddard High School. The school won her place in the New Mexico State Golf Tournament in her high school years. She also played volleyball at the national level. 2003was the year she started studying at The University of Texas. Through the latter seasons of her professional career, she won each tournament that she participated in. In the course of her undergraduate studies she won the titles that included Conference USA Female Athlete and Conference USA Individual Player of the Years.
